Real president Ramon Calderon has insisted that Real Madrid will not create problems for Premiership side Manchester United regarding the ongoing saga surrounding the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United have reportedly reported Real Madrid to FIFA over their conduct. Real Madrid have made public their pursuit of Ronaldo and according to United they are doing their best to unsettle the Portuguese winger.

Real’s president Calderon has said that Madrid will conduct itself correctly and follow the correct procedure if it decides to court Ronaldo. This has led to anger at Old Trafford with Man Utd seeing Real do anything but play by the rules.

Calderon said in a statement,

“We will not do anything until Sir Alex Ferguson says that Ronaldo is for sale. At the moment they insist that Cristiano is not for sale, unfortunately there isn’t a lot we can do about that so the ball is in Utd’s court, we will have to see what happens.”

Manchester United have repeatedly said that Ronaldo is not for sale. His current contract doesn’t expire until 2012 and Utd are not keen to lose their star winger.

Ronaldo himself has spoken about it being his dream to play for Real Madrid which has understandably made Utd nervous. The player has however, not spoken on the subject recently, although he did say he would make up his mind where his future lay after the Euro 2008 competition.

With Portugal beaten by Germany, many people are holding their breath for Ronaldo’s take on where he may play live football next season.
